چکیده

The Sittaung river basin (SRB) remains one of the least studied basins Myanmar in terms assessment impact climate change. As several reservoirs already exist basin, much research is needed to understand how projected change impacts rainfall, temperature, flows, domestic and agricultural demands, hydropower generation. Given limitation observed data on ground, a combination satellite-derived meteorological digital elevation used generate inputs Water Evaluation Planning (WEAP) model. Five CMIP5 GCMs are WEAP assess water, food, energy production SRB for baseline (BL: 1985–2014), near future (NF: 2021–2050), far (FF: 2051–2080) periods. results indicate that average temperature rainfall likely increase SRB. December January expected be drier warmer, whereas rainy months wetter warmer future. BL flows (1091 m3/s) by 7–10% during NF 16–19% FF at outlet. Meanwhile, unmet demand (1.3 MCM) decrease further approximately 50% However, (667 food estimated from 11–15% 14–19% FF. Similarly, total generation nine projects (4.12 million MWh) 9–11% 16–17% Thus, riverine future, thus positively impacting sectors, demands sector remain unsatisfied. These will help agriculture, sectors develop strategies maximize benefits cope with long-term

Investigation of climate change impacts on streamflow regime of a river Arazkooseh River Basin

In this research, impacts of climate change on the streamflow hydrological status of the Arazkooseh River are discussed. After Calibration and validation of the LARS-WG, HadCM3 was downscaled under A2 Scenario in three climatology station. Beside, calibration and validation of the SWAT model were done by observed data relative to past period of times. Streamflow values are then predicted using ...
